To share parts of your master file with others and collect input, you'll need to create connections.
By creating a connection, Layer will create a new separate spreadsheet with the specified data (sheets or ranges) and share it with the defined collaborators.
With the Free plan, you can create up to 3 connections. With the Pro or Custom plans, you can create as many as needed.
An add-on user is the master file owner who uses the add-on to create or manage connections.
Multiple add-on users can co-own a master file and co-manage its connections using the add-on. If you are on the Pro plan, you will be charged per add-on user.
If you wish to purchase more than 5 add-on licences, please book a call and we'll create a custom plan for your needs.
A collaborator is anyone you share parts of your master file with when you create a connection.
Collaborators aren't considered add-on users as they don't require access to the add-on to edit the spreadsheet shared with them or submit changes to the master file owner for review.
You can add as many collaborators as you need to your connections on all plans.
